SHIPFLOW Training
Schedule:
Day 1 (Tuesday 9:00 – 16:00)
- Introduction to SHIPFLOW Design and the flow solvers
- XPAN – potential flow module
- Post-processing of XPAN results
- Handling of Design Variants
- Optimization with SHIPFLOW Design
- Optimization of wave resistance
- Course dinner
Day 2 (Wednesday 9:00 – 16:00)
- XCHAP – RANS module
- Wake and Resistance calculations
- Post-processing of XCHAP results
- Appendages
- Self-propulsion
- Optimization of performance
Day 3 (Thursday 9:00 - 13:00)
- SHIPFLOW MOTIONS – ship motions module
- Added resistance
- Oblique waves and drift forces
- Summary
The training is included in the maintenance and support program. This means that any licensee that has valid maintenance is welcome to send two people to the training free of charge. The course fee for participants that are not part of our maintenance and support program is 5 000 SEK. Training material, necessary software and licenses, coffee/tee brakes and lunches are included.
The training will be held at the Flowtech office. Please see our location page for map and instructions. Each participant will need to bring one laptop to do the training exercises with. Preferably a 64bit computer with either Windows or Linux operating system.
