HULL FORM OPTIMIZATION
FLOWTECH has performed a large number of pilot projects over the years that involved optimization of hull forms. With the Naval Architecture background, the knowledge of hydrodynamics and CFD methods accumulated over the years our staff can perform the tasks efficiently and with high degree of confidence.
The optimization include typically wave making and viscous resistance minimization as well as maximization of the propulsive efficiency. ENERGY SAVING DEVICES OPTIMIZATION
FLOWTECH has performed a large number of pilot projects over the years that involved Energy Saving Devices (ESD). With the Naval Architecture background, the knowledge of hydrodynamics and CFD methods accumulated over the years our staff can perform the tasks efficiently and with high degree of confidence.
The ESDs require a very detailed analysis and accurate tools. RESISTANCE AND PROPULSION PREDICTIONS
FLOWTECH routinely performs resistance and propulsion simulations with SHIPFLOW. The speed-resistance and speed-power curves are one of the most crucial data for the ship designers. We continuously work on validation of our code to asses the accuracy of the predictions. By incorporating SHIPFLOW MOTIONS it is also possible to perform self propulsion with added wave resistance to obtain "weather factor" necessary for EEDI.
